With three wins and one loss, Iranian university students’ 3X3 basketball reached the semi-final on the second day of Asian Universities Games in Chinese city of Shenyang.
Although the Iranian student basketball players were defeated in their first match against Kazakhstan 18-12, they showed resilience and won their next encounters.
The Iranians defeated Hong Kong team 12-4 and won the next match against Makao 21-14. In their last match, Iranian students lined against the second team of China and defeated the hosts 15-14 in a fierce fight.
As the first edition of Asian Universities 3X3 Basketball, the event will be concluded on September 18.
