TEHRAN, Sep. 13 (MNA) – Secretary of Iran's SNSC Shamkhani received visiting Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira on Sunday.

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani met with visiting Brazil’s Minister of Foreign Relations Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira on Sunday in Tehran.

During the meeting, the Iranian official reassured that Iran considers a high priority for countries that stayed in the course of unfair anti-Iran sanctions.

Pointing to Iran’s consultation with friendly countries for returning peace and stability to the region especially in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, Shamkhani voiced regret that the UN Security Council does not follow a unanimous approach toward war and peace in the world and is influenced by super powers.

Secretary of Iran's SNSC greeted Brasilia for its constructive role in the UN dealing with the dossier of Iran’s nuclear program and underlined the point that the doors are open for developing ties.

Shamkhani reiterated that the experience of Iran’s nuclear program proved the superiority of dialogue over war, and invited the nations of the world to take a lesson from the event.

Lamenting the widespread terrorism, the Iranian official called it a threat to the whole world which necessitates an effective and honest global cooperation without powers’ instrumental abuse of terrorism for imposing their own will upon the will of nations.

Shamkhani also voiced admiration for the humane measures by Brazil in accepting the Syrian refugees.

While it is even more urgent, in the present situation, to establish a joint front against ISIL and its allies, some countries have raged an unnecessary war in Yemen which fruits nothing but destruction of human recourses, purposeless massacre of civilian Yemenis, and consolidation of terrorism, said Shamkhani.

Brazil’s Minister of Foreign Relations Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira, for his part, hailed Iran’s constructive and peaceful approach in the course of Iran-Sextet negotiations.

The Brazilian Foreign Minister referred to current situation as an opportune time for developing technical, industrial, and economic cooperation.

He also called for experts’ talks on finding ways to establish peaceful nuclear cooperation.
