TEHRAN, Sep. 08 (MNA) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler snatched a silver medal in the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in US on Monday.

Iran's 98kg weight class representative Qasem Rezaei won the medal after being defeated by his powerful Armenian rival 3-0, securing the quota for Rio 2016 Olympics.

The Wrestling World Championships opened in Las Vegas, USA, on Monday evening.

The 2012 Olympic champion and Iranian Greco-Roman star, Rezaei, once again remained yearning for a gold medal in world championships, following a comeback bid in Tashkent that resulted in a world bronze medal.
