TEHRAN, Sep. 03 (MNA) – Iran unveiled a fully indigenous intelligent air defense command and control system on Thursday.

Attending the unveiling ceremony, Iran’s Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili said “the system connects all the radars and missile as well as defensive systems and acts intelligently. It has entirely been designed and made by Iranian experts.”

The air defense command and control system is named ‘Great Prophet,’ he said and added “the country’s air defense networks will operate under the Great Prophet Command and Control System.”

Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including the air defense systems that use cutting edge technologies.

Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.
