With its upcoming premiere in various cinemas in Iran on Wednesday, a number of official accounts on social networks have started posting information on Majid Majidi’s enormous cinematic project, ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.
Majidi’s biopic has confirmed accounts in Iranian networks including Apart, Cloob and Lenzor in Persian language. You can also follow the movie on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google+ in Persian, English and Arabic.
This 171-minute epic on the early years of the Prophet of Islam is, with a budget of over $50 million, the most expensive film ever made in Iran, and has been in production for five years. The movie opened the festival and had its world premiere at the 39th Montreal World Film Festival.
'Muhammad: The Messenger of God' will premiere in Iran on Wednesday 25 August coinciding with the birth of Imam Reza.
