TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (MNA) – Shahid Motahari Seminary School has hosted a meeting of Prelate Archbishop Nareg Alemezian and Ayatollah Emami Kashani.

Archibishop Nareg Alemezian who is the Head of Armenian Interfaith Dialogue Forum, leads a delegation of Cyprus with an official invitation by Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO). Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, Tehran's Temporary Friday Prayers' leader and the Head of Shahid Motahari Seminary School welcomed the Cypriot delegation in the place of the School and expressed gratitude to efforts of the Cypriot Prelature in addressing interfaith dialogue between Divine religions.

Ayatollah Emami Kashani pointed to peaceful symbiosis of different religions including Armenian Christians in Iran, and emphasized on the importance of religious leaders’ cooperation in promoting hope among the believers especially the young cohort to encourage them for hard work to restore peace and justice to the world.

Emami Kashani believed that addressing the important issue of the apocalyptic Messiah and the Return of Christ the Savior to establish the rule of universal justice, and demanded that in religious dialogues, the issue be the focal point of discussions.

“It is important that religious common themes on the coming of the savior and the rule of universal justice be explained and elaborated, to bestow to the mortal humans the hope for a brighter future after all the plights of the current pandemonium, and which would motivate the humanity to work for the realization of the promised future of the holy scriptures,” Emami Kashani told the meeting of Cypriot delegation. “The problem of the current world is science without ethics, which has proved disastrous, with knowledge in the servitude of the world’s tyrants,” he added.

Archbishop Nareg, for his part, said that coming to Shahid Motahari Seminary School provided a golden opportunity for his delegation to gain familiarity with the latest method of teaching of religious matters in Iran; “Armenians have a very peaceful life along with their Muslim compatriots, and Iran’s efforts in respecting religious minorities are laudable,” he said. “The most important mission of the clerical order is to expound the messages of the prophets to the laity, all of whom emphasized friendship and peace; we welcome cooperation with Iranian religious schools as a great honor for Cypriot Armenian community,” said the prelate.
