TEHRAN, Aug. 12 (MNA) – Iran has expressed disappointment with Saudi Arabia's anger toward the recent nuclear agreement, saying the Riyadh regime is repeating Israel’s stance against the deal.

Iranian Foreign Minister Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Tuesday that remarks by Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister in a joint press conference with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, stemmed from the Saudi official’s 'irrational hostility' against the JCPOA, which is aimed at ending an 'unnecessary crisis.'

Afkham’s remarks come in response to the allegations made by the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in a joint press conference with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Monday, who claimed, despite the Vienna agreement between Iran and the six states in July, that Iran would still attempt to build nuclear weapons since the country has consistently refused to allow nuclear inspectors to visit its military sites.

“When the senior representative of a regional government becomes so enraged by the political resolution of issues at regional and international level, it leaves no room for doubt that he has chosen a life of difficulties and crisis,” said Afkham.

Afkham expressed her disappointment with the Saudi minister’s remarks about Iran and the 5+1 recent nuclear agreement and deemed them a “repeat of the Zionist regime’s stance,” saying such hateful opposition toward the nuclear agreement has formed a 'dangerous friendship' among those who hold this view.

The Iranian official further added that the Saudi minister’s allegations on Iran’ enrichment program showed a wrong understanding of international relations and the competency of countries.
