TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Zarif is due to visit Turkey and Lebanon on Tue. following his recent regional tour to Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to visit Ankara and Beirut in the second round of his regional tour after the conclusion reached on Tehran's nuclear program.

According to Turkey’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Zarif will arrive in Ankara on Tuesday and then depart for the Lebanese capital city of Beirut.

The Iranian senior diplomat will hold meetings with Turkish and Lebanese officials and discuss various points of mutual interest involving the expansion of bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in the region.

On Friday, a source close to Iran’s embassy in Moscow also announced Zarif’s upcoming visit to Russia, as the two countries have been working with Syria to find a solution to the crisis that has plagued the Arab country for more than four years.

The visits follow the Iranian foreign minister’s plans to visit neighboring and regional countries in the wake of the recent nuclear deal that was reached in Vienna on July 14.

Zarif launched the first round of his regional tour to Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq on July 23, immediately after the historic nuclear accord between Iran and the five permanent members of UN Security Council plus Germany, in a bid to strengthen ties with regional and neighboring countries.
