TEHRAN, Jul. 28 (MNA) – Iran has censured the Sunday terrorist bomb attack on a hotel in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu which resulted in the death of 15 and injured at least 20 others.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Tuesday extended the Islamic Republic’s sympathy to the government of Somalia as well as the bereaved families of victims of the ruthless attack.

“Extremism only leaves the slaughter of innocent people and spreading roots of enmity and violence in its wake,” said Afkham.

A spectacular bomb attack on a hotel in Mogadishu carried out by Somalia's Shebab militants killed 15 people and injured at least 20 others.

Somalia has witnessed deadly clashes between government forces and the al-Shabab elements since 2006.

Despite the fact that the militants have been pushed out of Mogadishu and other major cities in the African country by government troops, they have continued to wage attacks in Mogadishu in an attempt to overthrow the government in Somalia.
