TEHRAN, Jul. 22 (MNA) – Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) will award leading hematologists with Mina Izadyar research grant.

Researchers who have the requirements stated in the guidelines for winning research chair, can send their proposals along with their resumes to grants@insf.org. The proposals are regarded as submitted in due time if received by the INSF by August 22, 2015 (until midnight).

The eligible applicants whose proposals are approved by INSF, will receive Mina Izadyar research grant which amounts to $15,000 annually for a period of five years. If deemed necessary, this period could be extended.

The late Dr. Mina Izadyar was a renowned hematologist and professor of University of Tehran who entered Iranian Science and Culture Hall of Fame. She established the Iranian Thalassemia Association in 1989 and served as the head of Cancer and Hematology Department in Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Mina Izadyar lost her battle to cancer on June 21, 2013.
