TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – Iranian Navy Commander departed Tehran for Moscow to attend a high-profile Summit in Saint Petersburg.

Iranian Navy Commander Habibollah Sayyari went to Moscow late Monday night to attend the Summit of the Navy Commanders of the Caspian Sea littoral states.  

Accompanied by a high-ranking military delegation, Sayyari is scheduled to pay a visit to the Russia's defense capabilities expo.

In October 2014, Iranian and Russian Naval forces staged joint exercises in the Caspian Sea.

Iran and Russia have recently expanded their military cooperation and interactions and are planning to hold joint military exercises in Caspian Sea during the current year.
