TEHRAN, Jun. 20 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM for Arab-African affairs and Russian president's special representative for the Middle East affairs discussed regional developments, including the situation in Syria, Yemen and Libya over the phone on Friday.

Supporting the Geneva talks on Yemen during a phone conversation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Mikhail Bogdanov underlined the need for halting military attacks, quick establishment of ceasefire and dispatching of humanitarian aids to all parts of Yemen.

Considering the deteriorated situation and catastrophic human situation in Yemen, the two sides stressed that political tactics, dialogue without pre-conditions and paying attention to the result of Yemeni-Yemeni talks are the prerequisites for resolving the crisis in Yemen.

Iranian and Russian officials also underlined the role UN can play in finding a political solution for Yemen crisis.

Amir-Abdollahian and Bogdanov also consulted on the latest developments in Syria and Libya and underlined the need for an international effective act in fight against terrorism and puting an end to crisis in the region.
