Addressing the general assembly of the 104th meeting of the International Labor Organization which is currently underway in Geneva, Rabiee pointed to high levels of unemployment rate among young people across the world which is even more severe in the Middle East, IRNA reported.
He referred to the recent popular uprisings across Arab world which have led to destabilization of the region and high unemployment of young people which is considered as one of the main factors jeopardized law and order in the Arab world.
Today' unemployed people are well-educated young people with high expectations who require a modern lifestyle, he said, adding that creating proper jobs for this generation is a difficult work for the governments.
Labor minister also pointed out the major negative impacts of climate change on environment of the region.
The 104th session of the International Labor Conference, which is the highest decision making body at the International Labor Organization (ILO), began on June 1 and will run until June 13.
It convenes annually in June, bringing together delegations from the Organization's 185 member States. The conference is composed of a plenary and of technical committees.
