Speaking during a meeting with his Italian counterpart Nunzia Di Girolamo in Rome, Hojjati said that the ground was prepared for further cooperation between Iran and Italy on different areas of agriculture, including, research, saplings and seeds, machinery, fishery and health of animals and vegetables, IRNA reported.
Tehran is ready to boost exports of agricultural products to Italy, Hojjati highlighted.
Meanwhile, the Italian minister of agriculture Nunzia Di Girolamo who is in Tehran at the invitation of Iranian counterpart, said that the visit would be a new chapter in agricultural relations between Tehran and Rome.
Di Girolamo expressed hope over the removal of obstacles on the way of enhanced relations between Iran and Italy following the nuclear talks ongoing between Iran and the 5+1 states.
