TEHRAN, Jun. 06 (MNA) – At the end of the Expediency Council meeting, Secretary of the Expediency Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohsen Rezaei denied any official discussion to enter Syrian war.

Mohsen Rezaei refuted foreign media rumors over Iran’s decision to officially enter Syrian war and to implement defense and security cooperation treaties with the Syrian government. “Iran’s policy on Syria crisis has been clearly made from the beginning,” Rezaei said, adding that "Iran’s aid to the regional countries has always been of humanitarian nature."

Pointing to the regional issues, Rezaei condemned ongoing deadly military strikes by Saudi Arabia against defenseless people of Yemen.

“Unfortunately, international organizations, particularly the UN Secretary General, have remained unacceptably silent against Saudi violence,” Rezaei said, expressing regret over the victimization of millions of civilians in Syria, Iraq and Yemen as a result of regional conflicts which are considered as one of the most unprecedented events in the Middle East.
