Iran volleyball squad faced Polish volleyballers in a Pool B match held in the Hala Sportowa Częstochowa arena in the southern Polish city of Czestochowa on Friday.
The Iranians lost the first set 25-20 and the second 25-22, but managed to win the third set 25-21 as the Asian champions showed much better performance as the match went on.
The fourth set decided the fate of the match as the Polish volleyball players won against Iran’s team 27-25 and managed to secure 27 points.
With its third consecutive defeat, Iran’s national volleyball team is currently at the bottom of Pool B.
Iran is set to take on Poland again on June 6 at 22:55 Tehran time and will play against Russia on June 13 and 14.
Iran has lost two matches against the US, the champion of the 2014 round of the games on May 30 and 31.
