TEHRAN, May 30 (MNA) – Sohrab Sepehri’s three untitled paintings have become the most expensive paintings to sell at auction in Iran, going for $875,000.

Tehran Auction held its 4th Modern & Contemporary Iranian Art Auction at Parsian Azadi Hotel in Iranian capital, Tehran, on May 29.

This year the most expensive works auctioned belong to the late Iranian great poet and painter Sohrab Sepehri, going for $875,000 in total.

 

Mohammad Ehsai, Parviz Tanavoli, Reza Derakhshin, Farhad Moshiri, Ali Shiriazi, Abbas Kiarostami, Aydin Aghdashloo, Hossein Zenderoudi, Massoud Arabshahi, Parvaneh Etemadi, Farideh, Leili Matin Daftari, Lashai, Gohar Dashti and Mohammad Bozorgi were among artists whose works went under the hammer at this year’s Tehran art auction.
