TEHRAN, May 25 (MNA) – Khorramshahr was seized by Iraqi forces on 26 October 1980 during the Imposed War. After about a year and half of struggling and fighting, Iranian forces recaptured the city during the 4th phase of Operation Beit Ol-Moqaddas.
