TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed the important role the UN and international organizations can play to provide more humanitarian aid to Yemen.

In a telephone conversation with UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on Tuesday, Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the need to coordinate the international efforts to send more humanitarian consignments to the crisis-hit Yemen, adding that the UN and relief aid organizations should adopt a comprehensive, urgent and regular program for dispatch of aids to Yemen, IRNA reported.

Amir Abdollahian further added that Iran backs Yemeni-Yemeni talks with participation of all parties.

“Yemeni political parties and groups can achieve a sustainable agreement under the auspices of the UN,” Iranian diplomat said.
