TEHRAN, May 04 (MNA) – Saeid Abdevali is awarded a diploma by the International Committee for Fairplay in recognition of his act of fair play.

After being subjected to unjust and biased judgment in his wrestling against South Korean rival in Incheon Asian Games 2014, National Olympics Committee of Iran called on CIFP to review the game.

CIFP, after reviewing the game, appreciated Abdevali’s respect to audience and the competition regardless of clear unjust judgement and continuing the session to the end.

Abdevali will be presented with the diploma at an Award Ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan in October 2015.

The CIFP has been awarding international fair play prizes since 1963. The prize is awarded to athletes who respect the spirit of sport and envisage a beautiful image of heroism and brotherhood.
