Iran successfully held a crisis management maneuver and emergency response on Sunday Jan. 11 at Natanz enrichment facility. The maneuver was concurrent with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Iran’s nuclear scientists and attended by Deputy Chief for Nuclear Protection and Security at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Asghar Zarean and a number of other deputies and directors.
All available capacities were employed during the exercise, and the potential enemy plots were successfully foiled and neutralized.
The commemoration of martyr Masoud Alimohammadi also took place on Monday at Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), Iran's second pilot enrichment plant after Natanz. The commemoration was attended by the victim’s family, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard, Head of AEOI Ali Akbar Salehi and a number of other AEOI officials.
Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan an Iranian nuclear scientist was killed in a bomb blast after two assailants on a motorcycle attached magnetic bombs to his car on 11 Jan. 2012.
Masoud Alimohammadi an Iranian quantum field theorist and elementary-particle physicist was assassinated on the morning of 12 January 2010 in front of his home in Tehran, while leaving for university.
The Natanz facility site is now named after Ahmadi Roshan, who worked there as a deputy director for commercial affairs.
