TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – International Conference on Iranian Studies will be held at Sorbonne University, Paris from February 27 to March 6, 2015.

The ‘International Conference on Iranian Studies: Past Experiences & Future Prospects’ will be attended by a number of contemporary French Iranologists as well as Iranian researchers and professors. The joint conference will tremendously improve mutual knowledge of activities and studies conducted over the past few decades.

The conference will feature selected articles by Iranian researchers on review and critique of French Iranologists studies as well as articles and lectures by the French Iranologists with a focus on current Iranian studies conducted in France and their future prospects.

The conference topics include: Iranian history studies from antiquity to modern times, Iranian archaeological research, Persian language, literature and folklore studies, linguistics and local dialects, architecture and visual arts, music, philosophy, theology and Islamic studies.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is Jan. 10, and for articles Feb. 9. Those who wish to attend the conference held at Sorbonne University, Paris, must register by Jan. 20, 2015.
