ASALUYEH, Jan. 04 (MNA) – Manager of South Pars Gas Field Development Project Phase 15 & 16 has announced the construction of 4 gas sweetening plants there.

Reza Forouzesh added that after the successful installation and commissioning of its offshore facilities, the platform of Phase 15 has come into operation today.

“The platform of Phase 15 in South Pars Gas Field has increased gas production capacity from 29 mcm to 35 mcm,” said Forouzesh, noting that the platform’s operational production capacity is 1 billion cubic feet per day.

According to Forouzesh, the four gas sweetening plants constructed in South Pars Gas Field Phase 15 and 16 have a 50 mcm/d capacity.

“Platfrom of Phase 15 stepped up our daily sweet gas production to 35 mcm,” said Forouzesh, adding that with the completion of the rest of offshore process units, the final production capacity would be increased up to 40 mcm by the end of March.

South Pars Gas Field Development Project Phase 15 & 16 is aimed at producing 56.6 mcm of gas per day, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensate, 400 tons of sulfur as well as an annual production of 1.05 million tons of LPG and one million tons of ethane as feedstock for petrochemical units.
