TEHRAN, June 23 (MNA) – Iran's volleyball squad has beaten the many times champion, Italy, on Sunday for the second match of 2014 FIVB World League in Tehran.

Iranian men volleyball players won the first and second sets but lost the third as following: 25-22, 25-19, 19-25.

The forth set ended by Iranian volleyball players wining the rival 25-20 and Iran won Italy 3-1.

In the first of two Tehran matches Iran won Italy in straight sets 3-0, June 20.

In this round of FIVB World League matches Iran had already lost two matches to its host Italy, both 3-0.

In this round of FIVB World League championships Iran had already won two and lost two other matches against Brazil.

Iran will host Poland in Tehran for two more matches. There will be two other matches between Iran and Poland which Poland will be the host to make it four remaining matches for Iranian volleyball men to shine.

With 13 points, Iran now is just behind Italy, who has guaranteed their place in ‎the next round with 19 points, but above Poland and Brazil.
