Hassan Abdullah al-Nuri, one of the three candidates for the presidential elections in Syria in an exclusive interview with Mehr News correspondent pointed to the importance of presidential elections and said that the elections would be a turning point in Syria’s history and would bring conditions under which Syria would take strong steps in the region and world.
Al-Nuri added that “during the last three years, Syria’s enemies tried for the government and civil organizations’ collapse but the nation, army and government were smart enough to prevent it.”
Asked about the result of the elections and the effect in the region he said “Syria, Iran, Russia and Hezbullah’s cooperation will result to oppose the plans by the foreign colonialism. The Syrian people are aware of the foreign plots and make themselves prepared for a historical turnout; this is a message for Syria’s friends and enemies.”
“It is natural that real friends of Syria will consider elections high turnout as a great victory for the country while the enemies would have double standards regarding democracy in Syria,” maintained al-Nuri.
Asked about the terrorist groups inside the country and their conditions after the elections al-Nuri said that the result would directly affect the terrorist groups present conditions in Syria and “we will see these oppositions contrast each other after the elections are held.”
