The International Summit Hall hosted the event today morning. Reportedly, Rouhani will honor 39 martyrs and their families including Jahanara, Kharrazi Dehkordi, Golshenas, Ramezani, Hashemian, Jalilvand, Imandoust, Eqbali, Sayyad Shirazi, Dowlatkhah, Babaie, Hajian, and Azimi.
Martyrs of religious minorities will also be honored including Farhad Khadem, Zartoshti, and Robert Lazar of Armenian minority.
Brig. Gen. Firouzabadi, the head of Joint Chief of Staff, Hojjatoleslam Shahidi, the head of Martyrs Foundaition, and Nahavandian, the head of president’s office are also attending.
Rouhani on the congress pointed to Iran’s nuclear program. “We have said before and say now that we seek peaceful nuclear program and would not allow superpowers to deprive us from even an iota of this national right through bullying,” he said.
