In a meeting with Indonesian president, Javad Zarif dubbed two countries’ cooperation on oil, gas and petrochemical scopes as good and developing and emphasized on boosting investments and banking cooperation between the two countries.
Zarif, who was speaking in a meeting with Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, delivered Iran’s president message of friendship and his written answer to Indonesian counterpart’s invitation to visit Indonesia.
Zarif said that cooperation of the two countries was important and nothing would stymie development of such cooperation.
“Based on similarities we can have regional and international relations to help increase Islamic unity in the world and also fight extremism,” reiterated Zarif.
Oil and gas cooperation was good and also developed between the two countries and Iran and Indonesia should boost bank cooperation as well, Zarif was quoted as saying.
Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono believed that the two countries’ relations were developing and there were many opportunities which should be recognized.
He also held that Rouhani’s visit to Indonesia will be a turning point for the future of the two countries’ cooperation.
