Amman -- President Mohammad Khatami on Thursday sent a message to Jordan's King Abdullah II from his plane en route to Yemen to stress on bolstering relations between Tehran and Amman.
According to a statement issued by the Jordanian King's office, the Iranian president hoped that the two countries would "witness expansion of brotherly ties and bilateral cooperation".
Khatami also extended his sincere regards to the king and hoped for the success and progress of the Jordanian people, IRNA reported.
Ties between Tehran and Amman have seesawed after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran but the two countries have tried in recent years to put them back on the track.
