Rohani vows to bring moderation to the country

TEHRAN, May 29 (MNA) – Hassan Rohani has said that he will make efforts to set the country back on the path of moderation if elected president.

“I agree with the utilization of the potential of people of different opinions, and my government will be extra-factional. But I’m not on good terms with extremists because if it had not been for extremism, we would not have witnessed street campaigning in (13)88 and there would have been no need for the intervention of the Judiciary,” Rohani said in a televised interview late on Monday in reference to the political unrest that occurred after the presidential election of June 2009.

Rohani, a former nuclear negotiator, also said, “Today, there are 3,300,000 unemployed people in the country,” and promised to tackle unemployment.
