New Iranian ambassador starts his work in Iraq

TEHRAN, July 31 (MNA) – Hassan Danaei-Far arrived in Baghdad on Friday to officially start his mission as the new Iranian ambassador to Iraq.

Danaei-Far is due to present his credentials to Iraqi President Jalal Talebani.

Danaifar, born in Baghdad in 1962, was deported to Iran along with his family by the Saddam regime during the Iran-Iraq war (1980-88) under the pretext that his family was originally Iranian.

He replaced Hasan Kazemi Qomi who returned to Iran last week.
