Museum of Imam Ali(AS) Opens in Tehran

TEHRAN -- Attended by Director of Cultural Department of Tehran Municipality Mohammed-Ali Zam, and heads of cultural centers, the Museum of Imam Ali (AS) opened on Monday in Tehran.

 

"Artworks are the best means to represent religion in a more effective way.

Society of today needs to develop religious artworks that can be visited in cultural centers and foundations," said the director, adding that the museum also aims to develop and promote religious art and harmony among the Shia Muslims.

The museum is home to precious works of calligraphy, illumination, and paintings. Covering an area of 1,641 square meter, it is located on Esfandiari St., Vali-e Asr Ave.
