The MoU was signed and sealed in the presence of Habibollah Bitaraf Deputy Oil Minister in Engineering, Research and Technology Affairs, Jafar Tofighi Head of Oil Industry Research Institute and Alireza Sadeqabadi CEO of National Iranian Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company (NIOPRDC).
Jafar Tofighi Head of Oil Industry Research Institute was the first speaker in the ceremony, saying “catalysts are highly consumed and complex materials in the oil industry.”
Fortunately, the Oil Industry Research Institute is equipped with the test pilot system and capability of synthesis of catalysts, he added.
Turning to the success of synthesis of catalysts, Tofighi said, “the catalysts which we agreed to develop have been synthesized and tested appropriately in a way that they will can be installed in almost all refineries in the country."
In conclusion, Head of Oil Industry Research Institute Tofighi said that, “with the coordination made in this regard, mass production of these catalysts will be accelerated in the near future.”
