Iran Air Force to stage large-scale drills Tue.

TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force (IRIAF) will hold large-scale drills codenamed Fada'eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat 7 (Devotees of the Velayat Territory 7) Tue. in the country's central province of Isfahan. 

According to the spokesman for the large-scale event General Massoud Rouzkhosh, the main and operatoianl phase of the Fada'eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat 7 drills will last for two years, including dozens of various kinds of fighter-bombers, heavy and semi-heavy transport aircraft, tankers, interceptors, reconnaissance, aerial patrols, and drones.

Also participating in the maneuverer are Sukhoi Su-24 supersonic attack aircraft, F4, F5, F7, MiG-29, F14, Boeing-707 and -747 tankers, as well as long-range precision-guided munition.

“Systems and weapons developed and upgraded at the country’s universities and industrial centers, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support will be showcased during the exercise,” he added.
