“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been defending the cause of Palestine within the framework of the Islamic Revolution,” said Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) of Iran.
The Iranian Leader’s Aide made the remarks on Saturday, while receiving Hamas’s Deputy Political Chief, Saleh el-Arouri, in Tehran.
Welcoming the new election held at Hamas Political HQ, the Iranian official reiterated that Iran is compliant with the goal of liberating Palestine from occupation and will back Hamas as in the past.
Mr. Shamkhani highlighted “continuous resistance against the Zionist regime is the principle policy and unnegotiable strategy of the resistance front on the path to putting an end to occupation of Zionists.”
He urged Hamas members to keep holding their revolutionary approach to preserve their position as a pioneer institution of resistance against the occupation of Palestine.
In this meeting, the Palestinian official, for his part, voiced content with his meetings with Iranian officials in Tehran and voiced deep gratitude for the support of the cause of Palestine by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Such kinds of acts not only marginalize the righteous resistance of the wronged people of Palestine, but also secure the interests of US, Zionist regime, and their supporters” referred Saleh el-Arouri to what ISIL groups do under the banner of Islam. He condemned the ‘violent and anti-humanitarian’ acts of Takfirist groups which according to him scar the shining face of the divine religion.
