Hajj best venue for voicing stance on al-Aqsa

TEHRAN, Jul. 30 (MNA) – Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said Hajj was the best place to express stance on al-Aqsa mosque and harmful presence of US in the region.

On the eve of Hajj rituals and deployment of pilgrims to Mecca and Medina, Leader of Islamic Revolution received a gathering of Hajj officials on Sunday morning.

“Hajj possesses the highest social capacity since it marks an occasion for expression the ideology of Islamic Ummah,” underlined Ayatollah Khamenei emphasizing that the issue of al-Aqsa mosque is at stake and the Zionists have become insolent and bold by preventing owners of the mosque from entering it.

He went on to underscore that no place could be found better than Hajj for commenting on al-Aqsa mosque and on presence of Americans inside the region.

Iran’s Leader said it was good news that pilgrims had found the opportunity to carry out Hajj rituals in the present year.

Pointing to the significance of the issue of Hajj security, he emphasized “we would never forget the bitter incident two years ago and Saudi Arabia was in charge of providing security of Hajjis.”

Leader of Iran also urged other governments to demand security, safety, dignity and well-being of Hajjis in order to prevent cases like crane crash and Mina tragedy.

The official stated that, in addition to numerous spiritual capacities, Hajj offered an outstanding social capacity adding “Hajj represents greatness, unity, integrity and power of the Islamic Ummah which is carried out uninterruptedly every year at a certain point under unique conditions and through special rituals.”

He said other inner and social aspects of Hajj were that the ceremony would familiarize pilgrims from different nationalities and lead to proximity of hearts.

Ayatollah Khamenei, while noting that the issue of Palestine should never be neglected, said Mecca and Medina were best venues for voicing views held by Islamic nations on Palestine and al-Aqsa mosque.

“US is by far more dangerous than all terrorist groups,” asserted the Iranian leader highlighting that the issue of illegal presence of Americans in the region also needs to be raised at Hajj rituals.

Ayatollah Khamenei later touched upon the issue of Islamic unity reiterating that “at a time when billions of dollars are being spent to cause disaccord and disagreement among Muslim countries, Muslims need to thwart ongoing conspiracies.”

He invited Hajjis to pay due attention to perfection of their souls and enjoyment of great virtues of Hajj more than other issues since achieving spiritual benefits of Hajj is a prelude to achieving its social outcomes.
