Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received the families of Defenders of the Shrine where he believed they had been a source of honor and glory for the nation, since “if they had not fought terrorism and Takfirism in Syria, we would have been fighting them right here in Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Mashhad.”
“The Zionism and the US proxies should be fought beyond our borders to secure the nation, a duty the Defnders felt committed to carry out in Syria in the heart of the chaos; their place will be always sublime before the nation,” Ayatollah Khamenei briefly told the meeting.
