The Iranian quad opened the sixth edition of the international tournament with a sweeping victory over American rivals on Tuesday evening.
In the match which took place at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, Iranians subdued American soccer players 6-2 to set up a date with Egypt today on November 02.
Mohammadali Mokhtari, Moslem Mesigar, Mostafa Kiani and Seyed Ali Nazem each scored one goal for the Persian side while Mohammad Ahmadzadeh found the net twice.
Iran has been drawn in Group B together with defending champion Russia, the US and Egypt while Group A comprises the UAE, 2014 champion Brazil, Tahiti and Poland.
Team Iran claimed the title in the third edition of the sportive event after defeating powerhouse teams Brazil and Russia.
Attended by eight teams, the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup is an international beach soccer tournament which will be held in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from 1 to 5 November 2016.
