During the 10th Summit of APSCO countries held in Istanbul, Turkey, Iran’s Mohsen Bahrami, Deputy-Minister of ICT and Head of Aerospace Organization chaired the session. The member states discussed and exchanged opinions on joint space projects, training and staff development, sharing space information, and establishing a constellation of multi-tasking satellites and student small research satellites.
The member states also approved Islamic Republic of Iran’s proposal that Iranian satellites be accepted to APSCO constellation after some deliberation. APSCO was formed in 2008 by Iran, China, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Pakistan, Thailand, and Turkey as founder members to develop joint cooperation in aerospace. Currently, the Organization have 10 projects in aerospace in its agenda.
