Intelligence Ministry arrests Saudi-backed terrorists in Iran

TEHRAN, Sep. 08 (MNA) – In an announcement late on Wednesday, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry recounted the arrest of a twelve-member group of Saudi-backed terrorists in the northeastern border city of Sardasht.

A twelve-member team of terrorists backed by Saudi Arabia and some cross-regional countries who intended to mount some attacks and sabotage plot inside Iran was dismantled, announced Iran’s Intelligence Ministry late on Wednesday.

The announcement recounts that the terrorists were equipped with light and semi-heavy weapons to launch a series of terrorist attacks, petty acts, and hit-and-run sabotage raids.

The Intelligence Ministry said in the statement that the arrest was helped by IRCG forces and the group was dismantled after a period of monitoring in the border city of Sardasht in the province of West Azarbaijan.
