Iran's 'Hasti' to vie at Greek event

TEHRAN, Aug. 10 (MNA) – Greek Taratsa International Film Festival will display Iran's short 'Hasti', directed by Kamal Parnak.

Produced by Tabriz branch of IYCS, Hasti will vie at the event along with other 69 short movies from across the world on August 24-28 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The movie, which has won awards from Fajr International Film Festival and Nahal Student Short Film Festival, narrates the story of a child girl on the day his mother died. Due to her lack of understanding of the concept of death, in her childhood world and while playing, she gets involved with the concept of death.

Kamal Parnak has previously directed shorts and documentaries including White Death, The Last Deduction and Root in the Stone.

Taratsa International Film Festival is an independent event based in Thessaloniki, Greece. It began in August 2014 and aims to create a framework for the promotion of independent short films from Greece and all over the world.
