Terrorists continue launching attacks against civilians in Syria

DAMASCUS, May 16 (MNA) – The continued mortar attacks by terrorist groups in Syria killed at least one and injured three civilians in the city of Aleppo, according to Syrian authorities.

The reports indicate that this time the actions were launched against the neighborhoods of Al Hamadaniyah and Al Bash, where reporter Shadi Hilwe and two colleagues were injured.

Aleppo, which remains under siege for more than a week because of these attacks, registers the dramatic figure of 100 deaths and 200 injured, as well as serious damages to housing infrastructure.

According to reports by the Ceasefire Coordination Center at the Russian base of Hemymin, in the Syrian province of Lattakia, 532 violations of the ceasefire have been registered since last February 27th.

Meanwhile, the Center reported that Russian planes dropped nearly 45 tons of UN-provided food in the area of Deir Ezzor, where units of the Syrian army could retake the city hospital after intense fighting during the last 24 hours.

Sources said that since the beginning of the clashes, the Syrian army has suffered nearly 20 casualties while almost 50 ISIL militants were killed.

The Syrian army maintains its position and has made advancements against the ISIL in the East of the city and the important oil fields in Mohassam.
