FM spokesperson condemns Kabul terrorist blasts

TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Foreign ministry spokesperson has strongly condemned terrorist blast which hit Kabul on Tuesday.

Hossein Jaberi Ansari who was announcing official condemnation of the blast by the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that terrorism, as a threat to international peace and security, should be addressed and fought through a strong and well-orchestrated international cooperation.

“A Taliban suicide bomb and gun assault on a government security building during Tuesday morning rush hour in central Kabul killed at least 28 people and wounded more than 320, in the deadliest single attack in the Afghan capital since 2011,” said a Reuters coverage report on Tuesday.

“President Ashraf Ghani condemned the assault "in the strongest possible terms" in a statement from the presidential palace, "located only a few hundred meters away from the scene of the blast,” it added.
