Enemy seeks to polarize government, IRGC

TEHRAN, Apr. 04 (MNA) – Brig. Gen. Ramazan Sharif has said enemies are making attempts to bring about polarity in all aspects of the country.

“Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) does not plan to enter the enemy’s psychological warfare since they are after creating polarization between entities like IRGC and the government,” Head of the IRGC's Public Relations Office Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif told the reporters on Sunday.

The commander underlined that the issue does not merely pertain to the incumbent government as the same case held true in the previous government with the enemy trying to set IRGC and the government against one another; “indeed, certain measures taken by the previous office, provided perfect grounds for such activities on the part of the enemy,” he asserted.

The official went on to add that the Iranian government and people would nowhere find a more honest and stable institution than IRGC for resolving the country’s problems; “regardless of the existing unkindness, IRGC devotes constant effort to guarantee the authority of the Iranian nation.”

Head of the IRGC's public relations office further asserted that “the enemy’s compliance with some of our demands in the course of nuclear talks is due to the missile and defensive power of the IRGC.”

“Being interested in security, the Iranian people would always support guardians of the country’s safety and security,” he emphasized.

Brig. Gen. Ramazan Sharif concluded “enemy tries to polarize a variety of the country’s issues as they seek to cause polarity between proponents and opponents of the nuclear deal.”
