Iran slams Ankara deadly terror attack

TEHRAN, Mar. 14 (MNA) – Iran condemned a terrorist attack in the Turkish capital of Ankara, which killed and wounded dozens of people on Sunday.

“The successive terrorist attacks in various parts of the region and the world confirm the necessity and urgency for a united and coordinated confrontation with terrorism and extremism as common threats to the international community,” said a statement issued by Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari on Monday.

The Iranian diplomat further extended the Islamic Republic’s solidarity with the people and the government of Turkey over the deadly blast.

At least 34 people have been killed and 125 more wounded after a car bomb struck the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Sunday. The attack was the third explosion to have happened in Ankara since October.

As of now there has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
