Hungarian prime minister criticizes EU migratory policy

BUDAPEST, Feb. 16 (MNA) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated Monday that the European Union (EU) migratory policy has failed, and asked to build a wall in the south of Macedonia and Bulgaria to stop the flux of illegal migrants.

Greece failed on trying to defend the borders of the Schengen Area, he stated, and said that this has provoked a massive migratory flux that tends to grow even more.

The Schengen Area started to work in 1995, to stop the territorial limits between the member countries of the EU -26 now- and establish controls in the outer borders.

According to Viktor Orban the members of the VISEGRAD Group (Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) should apply a different procedure, to reduce the entry of foreigners.

The VISEGRAD Group, also known as V4, is keeping a rejection to migrants, which has been maintained for a little more than 25 years.

For the Hungarian Prime Minister, the plan B is to construct a fence on the south border of Macedonia and Bulgaria with Greece, main migratory route of the Middle East to reach western Europe, which "will defend Europe of the big number of Muslim refugees who come from Iraq and Syria", principally.

With regard to the procedure of the EU of 160,000 asylum claimants distributed in the countries of the block, to which obligatory quotas were assigned to them, Orban made sure that its country will not accept it.

Brussels wants to transport illegal immigrants inside the territory of the EU and to distribute them of obligatory form. This is its plan to manage the refugees' crisis ... And the Hungarian Government will not accept it, he added.

In the context of its anniversary this Monday, the Group V4 debates a proper strategy to stop the arrival of undocumented persons, unlike of the plans of Brussels, focused in closing the route of the Balkans without being provided either with Greece or Turkey.

The migratory pressure on the so-called "old continent" will increase during 2016 and Europe is defenseless and weak to face it, Orban sentenced.

Four VISEGRAD countries scarcely are affected by the arrival of foreign, every time they receive scarce asylum requests because most of the emigrants aspire to settle in Germany, Sweden and other more developed nations.

With the intention of fleeing of the war and the poverty in Middle East, Africa and Asia, thousands of persons cross the coast of Turkey up to Greece and then they continue towards Western Europe for the called route of the Balkans, which comprises territories of Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.

The Summit of the V4 happens days before the European Council of Brussels, where the crisis will talk each other and there will be checked the adopted decisions, like the agreement with Turkey for which the EU grants him three billion euros to contain the migratory flow.
