The members of the festival’s review panel including Mohammadreza Shafa, Mohsen Yazdi, Manouchehr Akbarlou and Behnam Bahadori, have selected 124 one-hundred-second films to be screened in the sections of Animation, Fiction and Documentary.
100 Second International Film Festival occupies a prominent place as the most important and influential of the festivals in Iran. Movies in this festival are distributed via the media and cyberspaces, thereby introducing young and talented artists to the art world.
Each year, hundreds of short films are selected to be shown in the festival from among 2000 films that are sent to the event’s secretariat. Filmmakers from over 60 countries have participated in this festival so far.
The international festival has retained a significant influence in fostering brevity of films in Iran and other countries.
According to the secretariat of the festival, an agreement was made with American Easton based 100-Second Film Festival to screen a selection of fifty 100-second films featured in the American event at a special section of the Iranian festival.
The 10th edition of 100 Second International Film Festival will be held in four categories including the Main (national) competition, Ethical Cinema, International and 1404 Vision on 2-4 March, 2016 in Tehran.
