National fencing team to attend Epee World Cup

TEHRAN, Jan. 16 (MNA) – Iran’s national fencing team will depart for Germany next week to attend The Individual and Team Men's Epee World Cup dubbed as Challenge de Heidenheim.

Type A Individual and Team Men’s Epee World Cup will take place on January 21-23, 2016 in the city of Heidenheim in Germany.

Meanwhile, a sports camp will be held prior to the tournament with participation of all the fencers entered the World Cup.

Iran’s Epee team, consisting of Taher Ashouri, Mohammad Esmaeili and Mohammad Ali Keyhani, will leave for Germany on January 17.

The first two days of the World Cup will be devoted to Individual competitions while the team event will be held on its third day.

Headed by Siamak Feiz Asgari , the Iranian squad will compete in Germany’s Type A World Cup as a preparation stage for Championnats de qualification Asie-Océanie to be convene in China on April 11-12, 2016.
