The Olympic volleyball qualification will take place in Berlin, Germany from January 5-10, 2016 with the attendance of eight teams.
The champion of the tournament will secure a place at Rio Olympic Games while the second and third teams will become Iran’s rivals at Japan’s Olympic volleyball qualification event in June 2016.
Accordingly, Secretary General of Iran's Volleyball Federation Mahmoud Afshardoost together with the head couch Raul Lozano and the assistant couch Juan Manuel Cichello will travel to Berlin in order to learn more about Iran’s opponents in Japan’s qualifying tournament as well as to negotiate with European teams to hold friendly matches.
Holding friendly games with world’s leading teams marks the main objective of the upcoming visit to Berlin by secretary general of the country's Volleyball Federation.
