TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – The short film Selfie became the best film on the first night of Toronto’s Videodrunk Film Festival.

Directed by Ali Erfan Farhadi, the short Iranian film Selfie was announced as the best film at the first night of Videodrunk film festival hosted by Toronto, Canada.

A black comedy which tells the story of a group of people who visit a cancer-afflicted children hospital, Selfie has already participated in several national and international festivals having won awards in a number of them.

The fifth round of Videodrunk festival was held in Toronto from December 3-5 where each night one film was selected as the premier production.

The festival continued its breed of outlaw cinema with an eclectic mix of films ranging from experimental and underground films to straight indie, horror and alternative comedy with each night bringing about a block of short films followed by a feature film.

Erfan Ali Farhadi’s next production, A Window for Two is in the process of editing and sound mixing.
