Iran’s artistic-cultural expo opens in Ankara

TEHRAN, Dec. 08 (MNA) – An artistic-cultural exhibition of Iranian students opened in Turkey's capital Ankara, on Monday, on the occasion of Iran’s National Student Day in the National Library of Turkey.

During the expo’s opening ceremony, Iranian Ambassador to Turkey Alireza Bigdeli congratulated the national day to the Iranian students in Ankara.

He said that Iran-Turkey’s cultural ties are expanding and added: “holding a common identity, the two countries need to expand their cultural cooperation if they intend to intensify ties.”

Moreover the head of Turkey’s National Library Zülfi Toman talked about the expansion of Iran-Turkey ties in the fields of culture and economy saying that such programs will indeed help boosting bilateral relations.

Iran's Cultural Attaché to Turkey Hassan Safarkhani also delivered a speech during the opening ceremony saying that “In a world where violence and terrorism is ruling, a different prospect of artists will bring peace along.”

The exhibition is house to artistic works of six Iranian students in Ankara in different fields of painting, calligraphy and graphic.

It is held by the artistic-cultural association of students living in Turkey.
